Company

Our company client is a French family business created in 1996. Equipment manufacturer 2d range, it is specialized in plastic injection and inserts moulding from a casting for electronic components.

The company is currently about 300 employees divided mostly between the 3 production sites in France (Oyonnax), USA (near Detroit) and Switzerland (Valaisanne). The have 2 business offices in Germany and Spain.

The position is established in Yinxi road, Songjiang District, Shanghai, PR China.

Responsibility

The General Manager manages all aspects of his Division, in compliance with Group corporate directions and ethics. He is in charge of sustained growth and profitability of his business unit.
REPORTS TO
• Hierarchically linked to : Group President
• Functionally linked to: All Group departments.
MAIN GOALS
• Direct the company in keeping with the vision outlined for the company by the President and Board of Directors.
• Oversee all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall corporate strategy, values and ethics.
• Partner with other Group high level officers to grow the company, strengthen it and ensure its sustainability.
• Develop high quality business strategies and plans ensuring short term and long term objectives.
• Identify and develop new customers.
• Build trust relations with key partners (customers and suppliers) and company stakeholders and act as point of contact for important topics and projects.
• Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of the markets and industry for the company.
• Work closely with the CFO to prepare annual budgets, complete risk analysis on potential investments and advise the President and Board of Directors with regards to risk and return.
• Be liable for P&L and financial objectives of the division.
• Represent the company as required, including attendance of important functions, industry events and public meetings.
• Define staffing needs to grow the company and proceeds with adequate recruiting.
• Guarantee compliance with local hiring practices, payroll and benefit disbursement regulations.
• Define and follow objectives for his team.
• Lead and motivate subordinate to advance employee engagement and build a strong managerial team.
• Responsible for day-to-day decisions.
Desired profile :
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Engineering / Business School Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
• 7-10 Years of corporate managerial experience

SKILLS
• Proven knowledge of automotive industry
• Entrepreneurial mindset with natural charisma and public speaking skills.
• Experience with problem resolution techniques.
• Excellent knowledge of corporate functions and governance as well as management best practices.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles.
• Ability to listen, communicate and motivate.
• Ability to manage and federate
• Leadership skills, including the ability to manage time effectively and handle both internal and external conflicts
• Time and stress management ability.
• Sense of urgency.
• Decision making ability.
• Advanced skills Microsoft Office Suite and professional accounting / ERP software.
• Fluent English spoken.

• The General Manager is in charge of enforcing all processes, rules and regulations in his/her division. Contribution to continuous improvements is expected.
• He/She makes sure that all work is performed with due respect to safety and environmental procedures. Any deviation from such standards must be immediately reported to Group Management.
